Dr Roji Thomas
Consultant Neuropsychiatrist · ADHD & Autism Specialist
Dr Roji Thomas is an NHS Consultant Neuropsychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He provides consultant-led private adult ADHD and Autism assessments through Midlands Mind Clinic.
His background in neuropsychiatry provides additional expertise in assessing complex presentations where attention, executive functioning, cognition and neurodevelopmental difficulties may overlap.
Assessments are completed personally by Dr Thomas and are conducted in line with current NICE guidance. They include a detailed developmental history, exploration of current symptoms and assessment of functional impact.
Following assessment, patients receive a comprehensive written report including diagnostic conclusions and recommendations where appropriate.
My assessments follow current NICE guidance and involve a detailed exploration of developmental history, current symptoms and day-to-day functioning. I consider how difficulties may affect a person’s education, employment, relationships and daily life, while also exploring alternative explanations and co-existing conditions where relevant. Where appropriate, I may include information from family members or other informants to build a fuller picture of someone’s developmental history.
My aim with every adult ADHD and Autism assessment — whether face-to-face in Sutton Coldfield or via video consultation — is to provide a clear, balanced and comprehensive assessment, together with practical recommendations tailored to the individual.
